Group C Winners Odds: Messi’s World Cup Bow?
Having led his national team to four World Cups, rumblings are that this will be La Pulga’s last turn on a World Cup stage. Argentina are now FIFA world-ranked #3 – having climbed one position in FIFA’s June update – and favoured to take the group.
Their clash against #26 Poland and Robert Lewandowski is set to be one of the biggest group-stage matches.
Before that, however, Poland face a tough challenge in #9 Mexico, with that result likely to prove crucial in deciding who goes through. Saudi Arabia (#53, down from #49) rounds out Group C.
