Group D Winners Odds: Les Defending Blues
Group D winners odds clearly show defending champions France, who are FIFA world-ranked #4, as favorites to advance. Indeed, France are third-favorite in the outright market to defend their title – a feat not achieved since Brazil in 1962.
Denmark (#10) will be looking to build on their showing in Euro 2020, where they lost 2-1 to England in the semi-finals.
Rounding out Group D are #30 Tunisia (up five places in the June ranking update) and Australia’s Socceroos (#39) – Australia having won their playoff against Peru for the final Group D ticket to Doha.
After a goal-less 120 minutes, a 5-4 penalty shootout sparked huge Aussie celebrations at the expense of Peruvian hearts. But having booked their spot in Qatar 2022, the green and gold will find a tough challenge awaits them.
