The Portland Trail Blazers launch an investigation into their president of basketball operations and the NBA recommends players get Covid-19 booster shots.
Making Headlines
Trail Blazers owner Jody Allen has launched an investigation into their president of basketball operations and general manager Neil Olshey. It is alleged that he created a hostile work environment that includes complaints of intimidation, tirades and bullying. Olshey has been with the Blazers since 2012 and was promoted to president of basketball operations in 2015. A decision on Olshey’s future is expected to be made once law firm O’Melveny & Myers complete their investigation.
The NBA has recommended players, coaches and referees receive Covid-19 booster shots. Those who received the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine two months ago should get a booster shot whilst those who received full doses of either the Pfizer or Moderna shots more than six months ago are recommended to get a booster. Certain fully vaccinated personnel will be required to get a booster shot by December 1 or undergo game-day testing.
