A flyweight banger between Mariya Agapova and Ji Yeon Kim is slated to take place on July 30 at UFC 277, according to sources close to the situation.
Agapova has traded wins and losses since joining the promotion in 2020. In her last outing, “Demonslayer” dropped a disappointing submission loss to bitter rival Maryna Moroz last March at UFC 272.
Meanwhile, Kim is riding a three-fight skid. The former DEEP Jewel champ was recently on the losing end of some close fights with Molly McCann and Priscila Cachoeira although earning ‘Fight of the Night” honors. Kim could be fighting for her roster spot.
The location of UFC 277 has yet to be determined, but Madison Square Garden in New York City has been rumored to be the backdrop of this massive pay-per-view.
