The Fight Analyst has now swept back-to-back events putting his overall record to an outstanding 32-13. He will be looking to keep his momentum going this weekend at UFC 276.

The UFC went back to the Apex last week, where we saw one of the best main events from this venue all year as Mateusz Gamrot defeated Arman Tsarukyan.

Up next is a star-studded PPV headlined by “The Last Stylebender” Israel Adesanya vs. Jared Cannonier for the middleweight championship along with the trilogy fight between Max “Blessed” Holloway and Alexander “The Great” Volkanovski for the featherweight strap. With that said, let’s take a look at the Best Bets for UFC 276.

Ian Garry vs. Gabe Green

In the welterweight division, we have a great fight between two young and exciting fighters in Ian Garry and Gabe Green.

Garry had a ton of hype surrounding him when he came into his UFC debut. He showed why he deserved that hype is in his first fight with the promotion where he starched Jordan Williams in the very first round. He was able to get some cage time in with his second fight when he beat Darian Weeks for t15 minutes enroot to a decision victory. Garry has some great technical striking to go along with some great defense and movement which will be pivotal in this matchup against Gabe Green.

Green had a very tough UFC debut, having to go toe-to-toe with Daniel Rodriguez in a fight where he lost what was a back and forth war. Since then, he has won two straight with a dominant win over Phil Rowe and a knockout of Yohan Leinesse. Green will need to utilize his speed and volume advantages if he wants to keep his winning streak alive.

This is a great matchup on paper between two strikers with two completely different styles. Garry, although young in his career only at 9-0 has shown a ton of potential. He really could put a hurting on Green if Green comes in reckless like in his previous fight against Lainesse. I expect this fight to be close early on until Garry finds his range and ultimately gets another knockout on his record.

The Fight Analyst’s Pick
Ian Garry -164 to win

Alexander Volkanovski vs. Max Holloway 3

The trilogy is finally among us as Alexander Volkanovski and Max Holloway go to battle for possibly one last and final time.

These two competitors are as good as it gets in the featherweight division. They have shown time and time again why they are levels above everyone else in the division. Each of the first two fights were closely contested throughout the entirety of the matchup and I expect more of the same here.

Instead of picking a side in this fight, which I believe is one of the harder fights to do so, I turn towards a prop that has hit in each of the first two fights. Take that the fight goes to a decision. Both of the first two fights of theirs have come down to the scorecards and they have both been to the judges 9 times combined in their last 10 fights.

The Fight Analyst’s Pick
Fight Goes To Decision -200

Dricus Du Plessis vs. Brad Tavares

We have a great scrap between two heavy hitters in the middleweight division as Dricus Du Plessis and Brad Tavares square off.

Du Plessis really hit the ground running in his promotional debut, knocking out Marcus Perez. He then followed that up with another knockout of Trevin Giles showing that he is a legitimate threat in the middleweight division. Seeing that Du Plessis can finish the fight on the mat and on the feet, he is as well-rounded as they come. This will come in handy in this matchup against a tough veteran in Brad Tavares.

Tavares has been a mainstay in the UFC with a 14-6 record with the promotion. He’s fought and beaten some of the division’s best. He is currently riding a two-fight winning streak with wins against Antonio Carlos Junior and Omari Akhmedov, and honestly is looking the best he’s looked in years. The newfound streak of Tavares will be key for him against the surging Du Plessis.

Du Plessis seems to have the advantages in speed, volume and power in this matchup which could be enough to keep his winning streak alive. Tavares will need to utilize his underrated ground games and get some respect on the feet or it will be long a night for him. Ultimately, I see Du Plessis is able to defend what Tavares throws at him and counters him ending him inside the distance and possibly getting a number next to his name.

The Fight Analyst’s Pick
Dricus Du Plessis to win -120
