Nets vs Knicks Prediction
These crosstown rivals face off for the fist time this season. Brooklyn are coming off a home loss to the Suns where they were booed by their fans for their sloppy play. The Nets are 3-0 in division games this season compared to the Knicks who are 3-1.
Brooklyn were dealt a blow when it was revealed sharpshooter Joe Harris will be sidelined for 4-8 weeks after requiring surgery on his left ankle. His shooting will be sorely missed given that the Nets only managed seven threes in their outing.
The Knicks meanwhile announced that Kemba Walker will no longer be in the rotation. New York have been outscored by 122 points with Walker on the floor. He has the worst +/- of any player on a winning team. Alec Burks who put up 23 points and 7 rebounds against the Hawks will slot into Walker’s place.
The Knicks have failed to get any momentum going, having split their last four games. Prior to the loss against the Suns, the Nets had won four straight. Expect them to bounce back at home against to get their fourth straight win over New York.
