All home teams except Milwaukee registered wins on Halloween whilst Kevin Durant got tossed after getting tangled up with Pistons’ forward Kelly Olynyk. LeBron James meanwhile turned back the clock with a ferocious fastbreak finish.
Making Headlines
The Brooklyn Nets cruised to a 26-point victory over the struggling Detroit Pistons. James Harden led the Nets by registering his 59th career triple double in only 29 minutes of play. Kevin Durant caught the attention of officials again, getting ejected for shoving Kelly Olynyk three times. It’s the second straight game where Durant violated NBA rules – he was fined $25,000 for throwing the ball into the stands against the Pacers on Friday.
The stars were out in LA on Halloween as LeBron and co. made light work of the Houston Rockets. Fans may have been spooked after the Lakers opened the third quarter with a three-minute scoring drought but the game was never in question. Carmelo continued his hot shooting form en route to a game-high 23 points.
Over in Dallas, the undermanned Mavericks played their third game in four nights. The Mavs had a scare as the Kings rallied to narrow a 12-point deficit to just three. Luka Doncic eventually drilled a three from the logo to halt the run and helped his squad get their fourth win of the season.
