Golden State and Chicago lose tight games to record their first losses of the season. The Grizzlies’ Ja Morant drops 30 on the Dubs.

Chicago took their first L of the season, with a scrappy one-point loss to New York. The Knicks shot slightly better from the floor and were just a shade quicker than their Midwest opponents. Chicago guard Zach LaVine scored 25 points, despite playing with a torn ligament in his left thumb.
During the game, the Bulls celebrated the career of former center Joakim Noah and named him a team ambassador. The 36-year-old Noah got a standing ovation from the crowd during a video tribute in the second quarter.
