The Fight Analyst had his first losing week in the last 6 weeks. Bringing his overall record to 41-16. He will be looking to get back on track this weekend with a massive PPV at UFC 277.
This past weekend we saw the UFC head overseas to London, England for a stacked fight card that delivered on all levels, except for the main event, unfortunately. On tap for this weekend is a great PPV to close out the month of July. With that said, let’s take a dive into the best bets for UFC 277.
Kai Kara-France vs. Brandon Moreno
In the co-main event, we have an interim flyweight title fight between the former champ “The Assassin Baby” Brandon Moreno and Kai Kara-France.
Kara-France has been surging up the rankings for quite some time now. He has most recently beaten the #1 ranked flyweight in Askar Askarov to get his well-deserved title shot. Kara-France has progressed a ton since his last encounter against Brandon Moreno and he will look to showcase that on Saturday night.
Moreno is come off of the first defeat in quite some time via a close split-decision against the current champion Deiveson Figueiredo. Even in a lackluster performance in his last time out, he has shown why he’s one of the best at 125 lbs. That championship experience will need to come in handy to take out Kara-France.
This is the matchup that most fight fans are excited about the most. Moreno can beat his opponents no matter where the fight goes. With that said, I believe Kara-France has the distinct advantage at range with his speed and power. Even though Moreno has an advantage on the mat, Kara-France has shown to have great takedown defense and scrambles to get back to his feet. All in all, Kara-France sprawls and knocks out Moreno inside three rounds.

Rafael Alves vs. Drew Dober
In the lightweight division we have a banger of a fight between Rafael Alves and Drew Dober.
Alves is most known for missing weight egregiously but he is an exciting fighter to watch in the Lightweight division. He has won 6 out of his 7 fights with 4 coming inside the distance. His ability to finish fights will have to be on full display here against the vulnerable Dober to keep his winning streak alive.
Dober is coming off of his first win since 2020 but it didn’t come easy. He was rocked, dropped and almost finished in round 1 against Terrance McKinney but he was able to weather the storm and get his own early finish. In his career, 17 of his 24 wins have come inside the distance.
This is truly one of the fights that could have people jumping out of their seats with the outcome. As far as who gets the finish, I lean towards Alves getting the job done. Alves has the ability to finish this fight anywhere and I expect him to rock Dober, jump on his neck and get the finish with his patented guillotine choke.

Sergei Pavlovich vs. Derrick Lewis
We have a fight between two knockout artists in the Heavyweight division as Sergei Pavlovich takes on Texas’ own Derrick Lewis.
Pavlovich came back after a lengthy layoff to keep his winning streak alive by knocking out Shamil Abdurakhimov. Of his 15 wins, 12 have come by way of knockout.
Lewis is coming off of a devastating knockout loss against Tai Tuivasa also in his home state of Texas. He has looked like he has lost a step as of late, but he will need to be at his best to get back in the win column.
Pavlovich is looking for the biggest win of his career as he takes on Lewis. He has the size and speed advantages in this fight to get the job done. As long as he stays outside the range of the power of Lewis he should run away with this fight. Pavlovich overwhelms Lewis and gets the round 1 knockout.
