The Fight Analyst kept his winning ways going at UFC 279 with a 2-1 night (49-23 overall). He is looking to keep the momentum going this weekend at UFC Vegas 60.
We are coming off of one of the wildest week’s in the history of the UFC at UFC 279. The late week drama ended up making the fight card one of the most exciting fight cards of the year.
This weekend, we have two of the best bantamweights in the UFC taking center stage as #4 Cory Sandhagen takes on #10 Yadong Song.
The rest of the card is littered with up-and-coming prospects which should make for a fun night of fights. With that said, let’s take a look at the Best Bets for UFC Vegas 60.
Corey Sandhagen vs. Yadong Song
In the main event, we have a clash between two of the bantamweight divisions best as #4 Cory Sandhagen takes on #10 Yadong Song. Sandhagen is looking to get back on track after losing two straight, while Song is looking to make it 4 in a row.
Sandhagen has been fighting the who’s who of the bantamweight division for quite some time now. His last 3 losses were only to either former champions or current champions, so there is no fault there. He is one of the most dynamic strikes the bantamweight division has to offer and that is going to come in handy against the dangerous Song.
Song is riding high coming off of 3 straight wins with his most recent two wins coming inside the distance. He is a very powerful striker that can end the fight at any given point. Against a high-level technical striker in Sandhagen his power will be needed to get the job done.
At distance, I think Song is at a major disadvantage due to the height (3″) and reach (3″) advantages. He will need to get inside the pocket without to land, which is easier said than done. Since Sandhagen has 5 round experience and hasn’t shown a tendency to slow down like Song, he should be able to weather the early storm and pick apart Song at range for a decision win.

Cory Sandhagen to win -180 |
Tanner Boser vs. Rodrigo Nascimento
In the heavyweight division, we have a clash between Tanner Boser and Rodrigo Nascimento. Boser is coming off of a finish of Ovince St. Preux in his last fight, while Nascimento had his last win overturned due to a failed drug test from USADA.
Boser is not your typical heavyweight as he moves like a light heavyweight but has the power of a heavyweight. He utilizes his in-and-out style of movement to keep himself out of the clinch and to make it hard for his opponents to grab ahold of him. That style of fight is going to be extra important against the grapple-heavy game plan of Nascimento.
Nascimento would be coming off of a good win against Alan Baudot in his last fight but he failed a drug test. He is now searching for his first win since 2020 when he beat Don’Tale Mayes. His striking may be improving but his bread and butter is his grappling, and he will look to get this fight to the mat as early as possible.
Boser has almost 4 times the amount of experience of Nascimento, against a much higher level of competition. That will play a major factor in this fight because Nascimento doesn’t bring anything to the table that Boser hasn’t seen before. In short, Boser is able to sprawl and brawl his way to a unanimous decision victory.

Tanner Boser to win -171 |
Louis Cosce vs. Trevin Giles
In the welterweight division, we have a fun scrap between Louis Cosce and Trevin Giles. Both fighters are desperately in need of a win which should make for an exciting fight.
Cosce is coming off of a long layoff after suffering his first defeat as a professional against Sasha Palatnikov. Even in his first loss, he was looking good early on until the cardio dump ensued. He is a very aggressive fighter that comes out guns blazing the moment the fight starts. So this fight pretty much is predicated on whether or not Cosce can find the early finish.
Giles started his UFC career with back-to-back finishes but has since looked very lackluster with just a 3-4 record. He is now coming off of consecutive losses inside the distance which doesn’t bode well against a dangerous opponent like Louis Cosce.
I am not sure why Giles is such a heavy favorite in this matchup and there is a ton of value to be had on the Cosce side. This fight should be fun while it lasts but ultimately, Cosce hands Giles yet another stoppage loss.
