Will Donald Cerrone join GETTR next?
Speculation of which big name will join GETTR next has mounted after Rogan opened his account on the right-leaning social media platform last Sunday. Sign-ups to GETTR and downloads of its mobile app have soared to all-time highs since then.
“We at Cloudbet, as ardent cryptocurrency advocates and proponents of disruption and individual empowerment, are keen to keep the conversation going,” the sportsbook said in a blog post. “We’re offering markets.”
Of Cerrone, Cloudbet says: “The UFC star has courted controversy his entire career with his conservative views. He could follow other MMA fighters who have joined GETTR recently including Tim Kennedy and Colby Covington. If the Cowboy comes, he might bring a few of his 730,000 Twitter followers with him.”
Cloudbet’s list includes individuals from different industries and backgrounds. Elon Musk, the head of Tesla and SpaceX, makes an appearance, as does Anthony Fauci, chief medical advisor to US President Joe Biden, and porn star Stormy Daniels.
Marco Rubio, Mitch McConnell, Nigel Farage and Eric Trump are among those with political affiliations. John Daly and Brett Favre are among sports figures.
Rogan is famous among MMA fans for his UFC post-fight interviews, including one with Conor McGregor in July 2021, as the light heavyweight nursed his shattered left leg after losing to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264.
