Alex Pereira is the owner of yet another highlight-reel finish after UFC 276 last weekend.
Pereira faced Sean Strickland in what was considered to be a #1 contender fight for the UFC’s middleweight division. He finished Strickland less than halfway into the first round, ending the American’s six-fight winning streak, and easily securing his shot at the 185-pound champion, Israel Adesanya for UFC gold.
Footage was uploaded to social media yesterday that shows Pereira breaking the sequence down with training partner and mentor, Glover Teixeira – he even details the setup before the devastating left hook that ended the fight.
Pereira was already eyeing his trilogy bout with Israel Adesanya at the post-fight media scrum and is hoping for a shot “pronto.”
“Whenever he think’s he’s ready to go, I’m good.
