Is there a chance the fabled rubber match between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz takes place under Dana White’s new Power Slap League banner?
Well, in all honesty, probably not – but neither man let that deter them from trading barbs over social media yesterday regarding who would emerge the victor in the hypothetical slap-happy affair.
McGregor, who admitted the charm of Dana White’s new endeavor had begun to grow on him, offered the jab.
Diaz was a day late with the counter, but arguably won the exchange.

On the 19th of December, 2015, UFC on Fox 17: Dos Anjos vs Cowboy 2 took place in Orlando, Florida.
This Fight Night event featured a rare title-fight headliner between then-current lightweight champion Rafael Dos Anjos as he made his first and only title defense opposite Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone; a rematch of a fight two years prior that ended in a unanimous decision victory in favor of the Brazilian.
On top of the lauded main event, the card featured an array of fan favorites, as well as past and future champions such as Nate Diaz, Junior Dos Santos, Charles Oliveira (who missed weight buy 5lbs), Valentina Schevchenko, Francis Ngannou, and the original bout between Kamaru Usman and Leon Edwards.
The event was praised by fans and media alike as one of, if not the best Fight Night offerings the UFC has ever offered on broadcast TV.
