Daniel Cormier has fessed up to cheating the scales at the UFC 210 weigh in day.
The now infamous incident, labelled ‘Towelgate’ by fans, sparked controversy at the time, however no consequence would eventuate. Cormier has, until now, vehemently denied the towel-grab was intentional, despite many suspecting otherwise.
‘DC’ light-heartedly admitted his guilt during his UFC Hall of Fame induction speech in Las Vegas.
He would go on to win that UFC 210 bout opposite Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson via submission. Cormier apologized to Johnson for his actions. “Sorry my guy.”
