UFC has been forced to remove a fight from its UFC Vegas 36 mixed martial arts event scheduled for September 4, 2021, 1:30 PM EDT.
The scheduled 135lbs Bout between Jonathan Martinez and Marcelo Rojo has now been scrapped from the fight card.
Had the fight taken place, the betting odds were in favor of Martinez at -170 while Rojo was the betting underdog at +155.
In his most recent octagon appearance, Martinez was defeated by Davey Grant via KO/TKO at UFC Vegas 21 in a Bantamweight bout. Martinez was the moderate favorite in the fight, coming in at -300. The loss snapped a 2 fight winning streak.
In his most recent octagon appearance, Rojo was defeated by Charles Jourdain via KO/TKO at UFC Vegas 21 in a Featherweight bout. Rojo was the moderate underdog in the fight, coming in at +230.
UFC Vegas 36 will now proceed with 9 bouts. UFC is expected to announce the revised fight card shortly to make it official. This is the 9th fight to be cancelled on this card.
UFC Vegas 36 is headlined by a 185lbs Bout fight between Derek Brunson and Darren Till.
