Stockton’s native son Nate Diaz wants out of his current UFC contract ASAP.
He took to Twitter this morning to air his requests in front of a world-wide audience – attaching a video of Jake Paul knocking out Tyron Woodley, perhaps hinting at his post-UFC ventures.
It’s currently unclear what the road-block is when it comes to booking Diaz an opponent, with no comment from the UFC on the matter. As it stands, he last fought Leon Edwards in June 2021.
One Khamzat Chimaev has been vocal about getting an opportunity to face the fan-favourite veteran, and even suggested an August date earlier this month.

On this day in MMA…
On June 21, 2008, the finale of The Ultimate Fighter season 7 aired on Spike TV, with Amir Sadollah taking out the series by defeating CB Dollaway by submission in the first round.
Starring the ever popular Forrest Griffin and Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson as opposing coaches, the middleweight-focused season was surprisingly labelled as the worst to that point.
